Liraglutide
Liraglutide is commonly sold under brand names such as Victoza and Saxenda.
Liraglutide is a medication used for the management of type 2 diabetes and for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight conditions. It is a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist that mimics the effects of incretin hormones, which help regulate blood sugar levels and appetite. Liraglutide enhances insulin secretion in response to elevated blood glucose levels, inhibits glucagon release, slows gastric emptying, and increases feelings of fullness. This multifaceted approach helps to lower blood glucose levels and promote weight loss.Tablets & Capsules

- Pregnancy and Lactation: Consult a healthcare provider if pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, as the safety of liraglutide during these periods has not been fully established.
